Stephen Hoo trained as an actor at The BRIT School before studying Modern and Classical Chinese at The School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London), where he also studied Film & Theatre of China, Taiwan and the Diaspora.
Stephen is a dynamic young British actor, whose work boasts a range of diverse, topical and challenging projects ranging from principal roles in Stonewall's critically acclaimed movie “FIT”, as well as the European tour of David Mitchell’s Opera “Wake”. Stephen also originated the leading role of Eddie Woo in “Take Away” (The first British Chinese musical) at the historic Theatre Royal, Stratford East in London.
Stephen is also an emerging playwright having written and performed in his own play “NAKED EYES” at The Tristan Bates Theatre. Stephen is now working with the Royal Court as part of their 'Critical Mass' new writing programme.
